TRAILS END

This is a boat-in campsite along the Green River, located about 3 miles below the Little Hole Boat Site. At 6000', this area is typical of a high desert community that offers natural shade. Each site is equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, tent pads, benches, and screening for a portable toilet. Requirements to launch: Boater must carry a bail bucket, throw line, extra oar, and must wear a life jacket while on the water. The Forest Service requires the use of portable toilet systems for all campers. These toilets must be sealable,flushable, and reusable. TRAILS END Directions

From Vernal, UT, take US Hwy 191 north 45 miles. Cross the FlamingGorge Dam, turn right on road leading to the upper launch site at SpillwayBoat Ramp. A second boat launch is located 7 miles further down theGreen River at Little Hole Boat Ramp. Cross the Flaming Gorge Dam andcontinue to the town of Dutch John. Turn right off US 191 and go east onForest Road 075 about 6 miles. The site is 10 miles below Spillway and2.8 miles below Little Hole.From Rock Springs, WY, take US highway 191 south 63 miles. A lower boatlaunch site is located further down the Green River at Little Hole BoatRamp. At the town of Dutch John, turn left off US 191 and go east onForest Road 075 for about 6 miles. The upper boat launch site is located7 miles upstream. Just before crossing the Flaming Gorge Dam, turn lefton road leading to the launch site at Spillway Boat Ramp. The site is10 miles below Spillway and 2.8 miles below Little Hole.

Bag-lined systems are not allowed.Program, it states each vehicle must display a Recreation Fee Pass outsideof the campground if using other recreational facilities (e.g. boat ramps,picnic areas, and day-use areas). A daily pass is $2; a 16-day pass is $5;and an annual is $20. Passes can be purchased from the Forest Service,campground managers, and local businesses. The holder of a Golden Passportwill not be required to purchase a recreation fee pass if displayed on thedash of the vehicle.
