SKULL CREEK
American Land and Leisure operates this campground under a Special Use Permit from the US Forest Service. Around 7000', this area is mainly ponderosa pine, and temperatures can range from warm days to cool nights. Be prepared for sudden weather changes. Host available in the Red Canyon area. A Rec Fee Demo Pass must be purchased to use facilities outside the campgrounds. Passes are available from local businesses, visitors centers, and camp hosts. There are 17 single-family sites, 10 of which can be reserved. Each site has a fire ring and picnic table. The campground area offers restrooms. Services in the area include: Red Canyon Visitor Center 435-889-3713 -- visitor information, passes, and gift shop. Red Canyon Lodge 435-889-3759 -- dining, lodging, gift shop, bicycle and horse rentals.

In Flaming Gorge Area. About 35 miles from Vernal, Utah on Highway 44.Highway 191 intersects Highway 44 coming from Rock Springs.About 220 miles east of Salt Lake City.
Important Information: Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance.This campground has first-come, first-served sites.All equipment must fit on the site pad. Vehicles park in developedareas only.NOTICE: As of 2004, the vehicle policy is changed. No more than 2 vehicles
