At over 7000 feet, this campground is in a Ponderosa Pine forest where temperatures can range from warm days to cool nights. The area overlooks scenic Flaming Gorge Reservoir. Do not close the gate at any time. This is the Red Canyon on the Ashley National Forest near Flaming Gorge. It is not the Red Canyon in the Manti-LaSal National Forest near Manti and Price. vehicles will be allowed on a single site.
