Dead Horse Point State Park
Towering 2,000 feet directly above the Colorado River, Dead Horse Point State Park provides a breathtaking panorama of the sculptured pinnacles and buttes of Canyonlands National Park. A new visitor center offers information on the history, geology, and biology of the area. The small and remote, but very popular, campground rests in a beautiful red rock desert environment. There are no showers available and the closest town of Moab is 25 miles away.

Dead Horse Point State Park Directions
Dead Horse Point is on State Route 313, 18 miles off Highway191 near Moab.
Important Information:
- DeadHorse Group Area Reservations
- There are no showers at the park.
- Recreational vehicles must fill water tanks before coming tothe park. All water is trucked to the park from Moab.
- Please conserve water.
- Dead Horse group area holds a minimum of 12 people/maximumof 30 people.
- Park opens for reservations March 1 of each year.
- No wood fires allowed stoves and charcoal are okay.
- One campsite is wheelchair accessible and is available byreservation.
