Lower Provo is located 11 miles from the town of Kamas, UT, in a remote area next to the Provo River. The campground is surrounded by tall cottonwood and spruce trees. Restrooms are provided. Recreation use pass is required. First-come, first-serve sites are available.

From Salt Lake City, Utah, take Highway 80 east for 30 miles to Highway 40.Go south on Highway 40 for 1 mile to Kamas exit. Go southeast on Highway189 for 12 miles to Kamas. Turn east on Highway 150, travel 11 miles tocampground.
Important Information: This campground has first-come, first-served sites.This campground has a 7 day maximum stay.Reservations must be made at least 5 days in advance.2 night minimum stay on weekends, and a 3 night minimum stay on holidays.Site length limited. All equipment must fit on the site.Campers must have a Fee Demo Pass before entering the area. These areavailable at Kamas, Bear River, and Evanston Ranger District offices.A per day per vehicle fee is collected at the campground for extra vehiclesbeginning with the 2nd vehicle.No ATV's or ORV's allowed.Tow and towed vehicle equals 1 vehicle.No refunds are given for bad weather.2 vehicle maximum per site.
