FIREFIGHTERS CAMPGROUND
Situated at 6900', the landscape here is mainly Ponderosa Pine, and temperatures can vary from warm days to cool nights. Near the site, an overlook contains the memorial to 3 firefighters that died in the Cart Creek Fire. The campground area has restrooms, dump station, potable water, and 4 ADA accessible sites. Public showers are available at Deer Run and Mustang Ridge. Bootleg Amphitheater -- 120 bleacher seats and a screen support. Naturalist presentations.

Located on US 191, approximately 41 miles north of Vernal, Utah.
Important Information: *This campground has first-come, first-served sites*Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance.Firewood is sold at thecampground. A Rec Fee Demo Pass is required to use facilitiesoutside the campground. Purchase passes from visitor centers,campground managers,and local businessesAll equipment must fit on the site pad. Vehicles park in developed areasonly.NOTICE: As of 2004, the vehicle policy is changed. No more than 2
vehicles will be allowed on a single site. No exceptions.This campground will be closed to reservations from 05/18/04 - 06/22/04,due to construction.
