BEAR CANYON
Bear Canyon Campground is located at an elevation of 8,000 feet and sits just off the Nebo Loop National Scenic Byway. The dominant vegetation consists of fir trees, aspen, open grass meadows and gamble oak. The campground is situated at the base of Mt. Nebo Wilderness with hiking trails nearby and open areas for group activities.

BEAR CANYON Directions
From Highway 15, at Nephi exit 225, go east on Highway 132 about 6 miles tothe Scenic Byway. Turn left then go north 3.5 miles to the Bear Canyonturnoff. Follow to left, Ponderosa is 1/2 mile up Bear Canyon. The BearCanyon Campground is located at the end of the road, past the PonderosaCampground.
Important Information: Reservations must be made at least 5 days in advance.Gate closes at 10 pm.A fee for extra vehicles will be collected at the campground.Please check in with campground manager (at Ponderosa Campground) uponarrival.
