Personally, I think gaiters are pretty silly but if I was going to wear a pair I would go with these. If you need anything taller than this then you should probably be wearing some sort of ski pant. They should work really well at keeping dirt and rocks out of your shoes because of the stretch nylon material and velcro closures. Get your pair of trail gaiters from Mountain Hardwear.
