What all the folks who come out to Francis/Kamas during the summer to road bike or run don’t realize is that winter is just as nice. There are even less cars than during the summer, the wildlife is down from the mountains hanging out along the river and the roads are (basically) clear of snow. Today, I finally remembered to bring my camera on my run to try and capture the scene. My pictures do not do it justice and the eagles were flying too high to even distinguish in the photos. I did get some pictures of the elk returning again this winter to hang on the south slope facing down onto Lower River Rd.
