Dog Sled Race to Finish in Park City

The International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race begun on January 25,2008. The 19 mushers headed out of Jackson Hole, Wyoming at 6:30 p.m. and plan to reach Park City on Saturday, Febuary 2. They will travel through 7 towns, two states and have 300 dogs. The eight day course is designed in a stage stop format which means at each of the stops the dogs and mushers will get a chance to rest in town. The hosting towns have fireworks, winter carnivals, kid sled dog races and food all planned for the racers and spectators. You can meet the mushers here in Park City from 10 a.m. to noon at Quinns Junction Sports Complex. The race will be from 12 noon - 2:00 p.m. on the trails in Round Valley.
