Snow Report
Jan 17th, 2008 by admin
Good, damn good. Oh yes, we are loving the snow here in Utah. Its been a pretty sick year for snowfall so far. The colder temps are keeping the crowds down up the Cottonwood canyons but the resorts in Park City are getting a little crowded this time of year because of Sundance. But thats ok. There are still those semi secret places like Powder Mountain with its 102″ base, old chair lifts and easy hikes to powder fields.
There is a backcountry skills seminar at Snowbird on Saturday, January 19th. Take advantage of this opportunity to hone in on your backcountry skills. The avalanche conditions are low with a moderate on steep slopes with wind drifts of snow as reported by the Wasatch Avalanche Advisory.
