Upper Setting, Uinta National Forest

We went up the Mirror Lake Highway in the Uintas today to enjoy the fresh new powder. We have some friends visiting from Bend, Oregon so we wanted to show them some of our local trails. I carried my 1 year old in a Kelty backpack and used my old cross country skis and my 4 year old rented some killer MSR snowshoes from our friends at the Samak Smokehouse. You can see him in the above picture running down (up) the Upper Setting Road which is an ungroomed trail just a few miles up on the left. We had a great time just hanging out with the kids and dogs in the blue sky and sunshine.
