- Snowbird - New Year’s Eve Torchlight Parade & Fireworks The New Year’s Eve Torchlight Parade & Fireworks is the best way for you and all of your friends and family to kick-off your New Year’s Eve celebrations. Join us on the Plaza Deck at dusk for bonfires, hot chocolate and another spectacular torchlight parade. What a cool event!!!!!
- Canyons Ski Resort - New Year’s Eve Rockin’ Rail Jam Celebration. Celebrate New Years Eve at The Canyons with a Rail Jam Invitational by our Athlete Team, live music by The Right Amount and a fireworks display. All events are FREE and take place in the Resort Village.
- Solitude - New Years Eve Torchlight Parade:
Solitude is aglow as employees ski and snowboard from the top of Eagle Ridge down Sunshine Bowl to Main Street. Be sure to get a good vantage point - maybe from your deck in the Village, or from the skiers’ bridge near the base of Apex! The parade starts around 7:00 p.m. - Salt Lake City downtown - First Night 2008 6 p.m. - midnight at the Gallivan Plaza, 239 South Main
- Alta - Torchlight parade and fireworks! It follows the main cat track from Watsons Cafe to the base of the mountain.
Visitors wishing to participate in the parade should wear old clothes, bring goggles, leave your poles at home and must be able to hold a snowplow down the entire cat track.
Participants meet at the Wildcat lift ready to go up at 5:15 pm. To watch the torchlight parade, the Goldminers Daughter is a good spot or park along the main road.
The torchlight will take place between 6:00 and 6:30 pm.
